I've worked on this car on and off for a couple of months. I'm tired of it now. I think I'll call it done. I made a little 1:64 S+H Green Stamp sign too. These signs used to be in front of many gas stations. They gave you Green Stamps when you bought gas, then you could trade in your stamps for gifts.
My pictures came out kind of small. I'll need to zoom in more next time, and crop too.
ReplyDeleteDavid, is that the "Cruisin' the Coast" casting????
ReplyDeleteCan't you tell?
ReplyDeleteI didn't want to do anything too radical to it for fear of loosing or destroying the flames.
ReplyDeleteAny chance of you bringing that this Sunday, for some "Show 'N Tell"?
ReplyDeleteVery Cool!!!!!
ReplyDeleteRich, I was planning to bring it to our get-together this Sunday, and give it back to you. It's yours.
ReplyDeleteIt is????? I guess I forgot all about that! Looks like we have a very cool "Event Car" to give away at Johnny Jam!
ReplyDeleteThanks, David.
That is very, very cool. Combines two things I love - BWF cars and surfing!
ReplyDeleteNice job!!
As a last thing to do to this car before I give it away, I just gave it 2 coats of Harley Davidson car wax, so it shines quite a bit more now too. I may make another car just like this as I really like it.
ReplyDeleteThe Johnny Jam crew gathered today for that diecast hunt, and over lunch David presented us with this finished product, and it is even more beautiful than the photos show.
ReplyDeleteDavid also presented me with the really cool "Green Stamps" sign for a Mobil Gas Station diorama that I have, and I can tell you that it too is even nicer than these photos.
Thanks David, and the ride in your 2011 six speed manual Mustang GT was a very special treat!
