Any ideas for new "Poll" questions?

We hope to have this as a regular feature here on the blog, and we're looking ahead to keeping these polls interesting and relevent, but we could use your help.

We could use your ideas for future polls!

The number of votes suggests that folks are interested in the polls as well, so if you have a sugestion, drop us an e-mail (rjmcdermott@verizon.net). Polls are simple to set up, and can have from 2 to 20 possible choices per poll. So send those suggestions and ideas along, please!

  1. Post one of the two-toned cars and see how many votes it gets for and against as a BWF.

  2. I agree. A yea or Nay seems popular. Could be any brand or scale. Voting in or out would be just for fun, if we like it we will add it anyway.

  3. That's a great idea, Bob! Maybe we should hold off just a bit until we get a few more people here though?

We can have a "Committee" vote, right HERE!

  4. I would like to see the following poll.

If a car has flames, is it technically on fire - yes or no?

I think people's thought on this extremely interesting topic would be something that would help world peace.

    Thanks,

  5. We could all either view Knuck’s post as an attempt at humor, or we could view it as sarcastic agitation … perhaps that would make a better poll. We could also view his ID as being self-deprecating, or as how he’d like us to perceive him. That might make a good poll too.

In the interest of just having a fun site, I’m going to assume that it’s the former in both cases, and welcome you to the blog, Knuck.

Now, if you were joking, then obviously you – like the rest of us – “get it” and are poking a little fun at our corner of the hobby. No doubt you are familiar with the countless posts on other forums in which a heated debate ensues over whether or not a particular casting does – or doesn’t – qualify as a true “Black With Flames” car. While it may seem to some outsiders that we all take this debate far too seriously (it’s NOT???), those with a sense of humor plainly see the fun that we all have with this, and we see that humor as a cornerstone for this fun blog, too. Humor makes the world a better – and less bitter – place.

That said, however, if someone were to actually criticize the debates, we would offer that if the factions around the globe who challenge “World Peace” were to actually collect Black With Flames cars together, they would gain much pleasure from trading with each other and possibly “RAOKing” each other, and the world might actually be a better place for the camaraderie of this part of the hobby.

Just think folks, BWF cars might actually solve “World Peace”! If so, we’d all have Knuck to thank for that, for bringing this topic to light! Knuck, when you woke up this morning and opened your box of Fruity Pebbles, did you have any idea that by the end of the day you would have single-handedly solved a problem that has plagued mankind since the dawn of time, world aggression and domination? Imagine what you could’ve accomplished if you’d had a second bowl!

Like I said, Knuck, we like to have fun here. Welcome.

Now tell us about your BWF collecting, please!

  8. How about a poll to looking to see cars that normally shouldn't be given the BWF treatment? And once the poll is over have a custom done of the casting.

  9. Hmmm John, just the opposite of what we usually see ("which car SHOULD get the BWF treatment?")

You might be on to something there!

  10. Something like Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Duesenbergs, Auburns, and dare I say it.....Rolls Royce/Bentley.

  11. I would agree with Ace's comments above. Are some cars too classy for flames? I think it was the JL (old RC casting) Packard that I once mentioned should get the flame treatment. Mark A. said it might have too much class for that. So, I suppose another way of putting this question might be, Do flames add class, or are they just an interesting bit of street art?
